This National Prayer was written by the 2016 National Day of Prayer Honorary Chairman Dr. Tony Evans. Please pray this for our nation and plan to participate in the National Day of Prayer Thursday, May 5, 2016.
Dear heavenly Father, we come to You today as a humble people desperate for Your supernatural intervention on behalf of our beloved nation. First, we thank You for all the blessings You have bestowed on our land, blessings that have allowed us to bring so much good and benefit to not only our own citizens but also to the rest of the world. The very ideals upon which this country was founded were based on biblical truths, no matter how some try to rewrite history to deny that very fact today.
This is why our hearts are so broken over how You continue to be marginalized and dismissed by both our people and our institutions. We are also saddened by the fact that Your people have contributed greatly to the spiritual apathy that now engulfs us. Our satisfaction in remaining religious without being fully committed to living out the truths of Your Word has caused us to become co-conspirators with the forces of evil that are destroying us as a society.
It is for this reason that we personally and collectively repent of our carnality and recommit ourselves to becoming visible and verbal disciples of Jesus Christ. Enable us, by Your Spirit, to no longer be secret agent Christians but rather to publicly declare and live out Your truth in a spirit of love so that You feel welcome in our country once again.
Thank You for Your promise to hear our prayers when we call to You with hearts of repentance and obedience, which is how we are appealing to You today, Father. On behalf of Your church, we affirm afresh the priority You are to us that You would fill every dimension of our lives as we seek to bring You glory through the advancement of Your kingdom in our personal lives, our family lives, and in the lives of our churches and our government leaders. We confidently invite heaven’s intervention into all the affairs of our nation and we praise You in advance for Your answer.

My name is Sangeetha. I have an urgent prayer request, i recently get married, my husband name Natarajan, we married going to be 3 months ready. My in laws tortured me a lot and always throw many harsh words towards me and my family members. Currently im working due to my high commitment and they torture me to leave my job and do as a maid job at their house. Pls i really in need all your prayers, we are newly married only, their parents and his relatives want to separate us, and my husband many times asks divorce from me because of his parents. My husband father called my father and give warning that he want to kill me. My parents very scared to send me to my in laws house, they will kill me. Please pray for me and save my marital life, we two together want to shift to a new home at Penang. My husband parents planned to separate both of us. pls pray for us, i want lead a happy life with my husband. pls pray for me and my husband, we want shift to new house at Penang. Now I’m finding a house in Penang. My husband take his salary all given to his parents, and he parents told him do not pass or given anything to me. I’m his wife, but I feel I have no more rights within my husband. I want me and my husband to lead a happy married life In Penang....dear sisters and brothers, pls pray for me and save my marriage. Please save both of us from that evil house, and let us move to our new house at penang. Been fighting them for over 5 months and can't get rid of them without GOD.Bed bugs take away your peace of mind.When you think you might have gotten rid of them ,they return.In JESUS Name Pray GOD removes all bed bugs from the house i live in and they never return.Pray no bed bug from my house ends up in anyone else s house...2...
